Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 25, 2026 · Applies to dependableautoworks.com and our registration and offers program.
This Privacy Policy explains how Dependable Auto Works ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and retains your personal information when you visit our website, register through our offers form, or otherwise interact with us. By registering, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
When you register through our offers form, we collect the information you provide directly:
- Identity & contact details: first name, last name, email address, and phone number.
- Mailing address: street address, city, state, and ZIP code.
- Consent records: the fact that you checked the consent box, along with the date, time, IP address, and the exact disclosure language you agreed to.
We also automatically collect limited technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and pages viewed, through standard server logs and similar technologies, to operate and secure the site.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide to:
- Verify your registration through our double opt-in email confirmation;
- Send you the marketing offers and updates you consented to receive — including service deals, promotions, and reminders — by email, phone call, and text message;
- Respond to your inquiries and provide and improve our services; and
- Maintain records of your consent and comply with our legal obligations.
Honest framing. This is a marketing sign-up. We are not offering a free email account or any other product in exchange for your registration — we are asking permission to send you marketing communications from us and our automotive marketing partners. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
3. Sharing With Marketing Partners
When you consent at registration, you agree that we may share the contact information you provide — your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address — with our automotive marketing partners so that we and they may contact you with relevant marketing offers and updates, for the purposes you consented to when you checked the consent box.
We may also share your information with:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf (for example, email/SMS delivery platforms and hosting providers), under contracts that limit their use of the data;
- Authorities or third parties where required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
We do not sell your personal information beyond the marketing-partner sharing you consent to, and you can withdraw your consent at any time as described below.
4. Consent & Retention of TCPA Records
Your consent to receive automated calls and texts is given under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). To document that consent and comply with our legal obligations, we retain your TCPA consent records — including the disclosure text you agreed to, and the date, time, and IP address of your consent — for five (5) years after the consent is given or last reaffirmed, even if you later opt out.
Other personal information is retained for as long as needed to provide our services, then deleted or de-identified, unless a longer period is required by law.
Opting out is always free. You can reply STOP to any text message to stop texts, use the unsubscribe link in any email, or contact us using the details below. Opting out of marketing does not affect your ability to do business with us.
5. Your Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), gives you the right to:
- Know and access the personal information we have collected about you;
- Delete personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions (including the TCPA consent records noted above);
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising; and
- Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise these rights — including to opt out of the sharing of your information with marketing partners — email us at privacy@dependableautoworks.com with the subject line "Privacy Request," or use the contact details below. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframes required by law. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.
6. Children Under 18
Our website and registration program are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age, and individuals under 18 are not permitted to register. If you believe a person under 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
